Johnny Wactor, a long-time veteran of the TV soap “General Hospital,” was shot dead in Los Angeles on Saturday during a robbery gone wrong. He was 37 years old.
Wactor reportedly mistook masked thieves stealing his car for tow truck drivers and intervened, leading to the fatal shooting. According to Dailymail, the incident occurred around 3:25 am near West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that one of the three masked men shot Wactor before they fled in a separate vehicle. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects remain at large and have yet to be identified or described.
