Former United States President Donald Trump has lashed out at pop superstar Taylor Swift following her endorsement of his political rival, Vice President Kamala Harris. In a heated all-caps post on his Truth Social platform, Trump declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” just days after the singer publicly supported Harris in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

Swift, who boasts 284 million followers on Instagram, announced her support for Harris shortly after the latest presidential debate between Trump and Harris. She praised Harris for fighting for causes she believes need strong advocacy, a move that earned over nine million “likes” and reignited political debate among her vast fanbase.

Initially, Trump downplayed the endorsement, claiming he was “not a Taylor fan,” but with Harris gaining momentum in the polls, the former president’s rhetoric has intensified. In response, the Harris campaign humorously referenced Swift’s famous songs, stating Trump is spending his time “whining about his Champagne Problems” and questioning whether “The Man” is “too emotional” for the presidency.

As the November 5, 2024, election nears, Swift’s endorsement has sparked conversations about the potential influence of celebrity involvement in politics, though some argue that many of her fans likely already lean toward the Democratic party.
