Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that leaving her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, was the best decision she ever made.
She shared this insight while offering advice to a fellow single mother who reached out to her privately on Instagram. The woman sought guidance on how Dikeh coped after her marriage ended.
In her response, Dikeh clarified that she chose to walk away from her marriage for her own and her son’s well-being. “I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just for my own sake, but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made,” she wrote.
The actress encouraged the woman to commit to personal growth and invest in herself, stressing that God has been her greatest source of strength throughout her journey as a single mother.
Dikeh’s marriage to Olakunle Churchill ended in 2017 amid allegations of infidelity and domestic violence. Despite their divorce, the two continue to have public disputes, with Dikeh accusing Churchill of being an absent father, while Churchill claims he has been denied access to their son.
Dikeh reminded her followers to keep their personal matters private and draw strength from God during challenging times.
