Afrobeat musicians Davido and Lojay have been named on the 2024 Billboard Honour Roll, making them the first African artists to achieve this recognition.
The Honour Roll is an annual list released by Billboard to celebrate records that topped R&B and Hip Hop charts globally.
Davido and Lojay were featured due to their contributions to American R&B star Chris Brown’s song “Sensational,” which reached No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay Chart. Additionally, Chris Brown collaborated with Lojay on the remix of his hit single “Monalisa,” which soared to commercial success, further solidifying their place on the Honour Roll.
