Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have reportedly arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
The arrest allegedly took place on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja while Ajaero was preparing to board a flight to the United Kingdom.
Ajaero was scheduled to attend a conference organized by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the UK today, according to sources.
Although the details surrounding the arrest and the reasons for it remain unclear at this time, it is reported that Ajaero has been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
