Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Hamzat Adebola, on Thursday, May 16, 2024 paraded Lamidi Mukaila, popularly known as Auxiliary, the former Chairman of the Park Management System, who was recently arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Auxiliary was apprehended at his Olodo residence in Ibadan, the state capital, Nigeria after being declared wanted by the police for alleged involvement in armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder cases.

Addressing the media at the state police command, Adebola announced that Auxiliary would be charged in court, emphasizing the diligent efforts made to track him down.

“Discreet intelligence-led search commenced for the sacked PMS chieftain with the help of technology, collaborative efforts with sister services and community policing, many locations were identified, traced and combed for months until his recent arrest in a concerted effort with our sister services,” stated Adebola.

He further revealed the extensive list of exhibits recovered from Auxiliary’s possession, including firearms, ammunition, weapons, and various items indicative of criminal activities.

“Moving forward, the suspect would be charged to court for offenses committed,” Adebola declared, expressing gratitude to the public for providing credible information to combat crime in the state.

The Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the command to decisively tackle any criminally motivated individual or group, ensuring the state does not regress into its historical dark ages of the “Wild West.”
