Nigerian music producer, ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has disclosed that he received a life-saving kidney transplant after his only brother donated one of his kidneys. Omori made the revelation on Wednesday via his Instagram page, where he shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed.

“Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” Omori wrote, expressing his gratitude and deep emotions over the sacrifice made by his sibling. He also pleaded with his followers, saying, “Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”

The award-winning music producer, who had been absent from the public eye for some time, was seen in the photo looking visibly emotional while receiving oxygen. Prior to the transplant, Omori had made cryptic posts about his health struggles, including a tweet last month on X (formerly Twitter) where he said, “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me.”

Following his disclosure, fans and well-wishers flooded social media with messages of encouragement and prayers for Omori’s speedy recovery. One user on X, identified as #Mr Ebony, commented, “The biggest sacrifices are from families, especially brothers. Quick recovery bruh.” Another user, tweeting as #Ikorodu President, added, “Oh really, hadn’t been you tell me I would have gladly give you one of mine so you can live.”

TG Omori, also known as Boy Director, is one of Nigeria’s most prominent music video directors, known for his unique and vibrant visual style. He has directed videos for top Nigerian artists including Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Naira Marley. His work has earned him numerous awards and recognition within the entertainment industry, cementing his status as a leading creative force in the Nigerian music scene.
