The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda. The list includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards.
Returning to the squad are notable players like goalkeeper Amas Obasogie of Bendel Insurance and defender Olisa Ndah, who has been absent since the Super Eagles’ draw with Lesotho in November 2023. Taiwo Awoniyi, also returning, is set to bolster the attack.
The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 7, before traveling to Kigali for a match against Rwanda on Tuesday, September 10. All players are expected to report to the camp in Uyo by Monday, September 2.
