Nollywood actress and filmmaker Adanma Luke has publicly apologized following the tragic death of actor Junior Pope and four crew members, who drowned when their boat capsized in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta State, on April 10, 2024.
The incident occurred while they were en route to a movie set for the film ‘The Other Side of Life’, produced by Adanma.
In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Adanma, visibly emotional, took responsibility for the unfortunate incident. “I have come to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry Nigerians. I took away your loved ones from what people are saying. I’m so sad that this happened on my movie set,” she expressed, adding, “Inasmuch as I’m trying to be very strong, I’m not seeing myself to be strong.”
She further pleaded for forgiveness, stating that she never intended for such a tragedy to occur. “Please forgive me,” she cried.
