The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that several terrorists were killed following air strikes on Malum Forest in Kaduna State.

This operation, which was part of Operation Whirl Punch, took place on Saturday, August 24, according to NAF spokesman Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet.

Similar air operations were conducted in Zamfara and Niger States, targeting insurgents’ hideouts. The air strikes were particularly aimed at terrorists responsible for recent attacks, abductions, and cattle rustling in Shiroro Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State, who had relocated to their stronghold in Malum Forest.

Additionally, the NAF carried out air patrols in the Niger Delta Region, leading to the destruction of over 25 illegal refining sites and pipelines in Imo and Rivers States, significantly impacting the environment and aquatic habitats due to a leaking pipeline in Greenville, Rivers State.
