The Nigeria Police Force has summoned the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero, for questioning in connection with allegations of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.
The invitation, issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), was conveyed in a letter signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adamu Mu’azu. The letter, dated August 19, 2024, stated, “This office is investigating a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Terrorism Financing, Treasonable Felony, Subversion, and Cybercrime in which you were mentioned.”
Ajaero has been asked to report for an interview on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the IRT Complex in Abuja. The letter further warned that failure to comply with the invitation could result in the issuance of a warrant for his arrest.
