Ajiboye Omodewu, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Nigeria has passed on. Omodewu, who had been battling an undisclosed ailment, succumbed while receiving treatment in the United States, where he held citizenship.
The Otu-Itesiwaju native was a prominent figure in Oyo State politics, having served as a commissioner in various ministries under the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi. Omodewu had recently completed his law degree and attended law school.
The news of his passing was confirmed by the APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, who shared the information in a brief message on the party’s WhatsApp group.
