Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Aghamba, and his wife have been released following their kidnapping last Friday. The couple was abducted while traveling to Abuja, Nigeria for a wedding. Unfortunately, their aide, ABK Offiah, was killed by the gunmen.
The details surrounding their release remain unclear, but it was reported that they were freed on Saturday night. Uche Nworah shared on Facebook, “Great news. Kidnapped Anambra Youth Commissioner Aghamba and his wife have been released. To God be the glory.”
As of now, there has been no response from the governor’s press secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, or the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, regarding the incident.
