Among the convicted is Bolanle Lookman Dauda, a 50-year-old kingpin arrested while attempting to smuggle 57.5 kilograms of cocaine to Ghana. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison or a ₦30 million fine by Justice Ambrose Allagoa of the Federal High Court, Lagos.

Another key figure, 34-year-old Ikeh Stanley Ifeanyi, was arrested in Lagos Island with 6.480 kilograms of fentanyl, a dangerous opioid responsible for numerous overdose deaths. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison or a ₦2 million fine by Justice Kehinde Ogundare.

The third kingpin, Christian Anyanwu, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for attempting to smuggle methamphetamine to Brazil.
