It is as good to fit in the Guiness Book of Record that a Ugandan migrant has created a record by being offered 122 scholarships in the US with funding up to 5.3 million dollars.
The reports by the Monitor says that Helms Ategeka moved to the US from Uganda in 2019. Shortly after his arrival, the world was shut down by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, luckily for him, he was able to attend school through Zoom.
He said he applied 150 schools. He gave all his best in the application process and 122 accepted him.
His father Chris, who had immigrated to the US in the late 2000s, expressed his pride in Helms’ CPA of 3.94.
Helms will be following his dream of becoming a pop star at the University of California Berkeley.
He said, “I spend most of my time either listening to music, making music, or out there performing. I feel the most active and fulfilled when I’m doing something related to music.”
