Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu, mother of Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, known as Rarara, has been freed by bandits after spending 20 days in captivity, according to a close family source.
Following her release, she was immediately taken to a hospital in Abuja due to deteriorating health conditions, including high blood pressure exacerbated during her ordeal.
The news of her freedom sparked jubilation in Kahutu village, located in Danja local government area of Katsina State, her hometown. Residents expressed immense joy and relief over her safe return.
“I am so happy today that Mama has finally regained her freedom. I am happy our mother has returned to us,” said Habib Isyaka, a resident of Kahutu village.
Ibrahim Bello Na Kahutu added, “I cannot express my feelings today. I am praying for her quick recovery because I learnt she is seriously ill. I want to use this opportunity to congratulate my brother Rarara over the release of Mama. We, the people of Kahutu village, are happy with this development.”
The circumstances surrounding her abduction and subsequent release have brought both relief and renewed hope to the community and the singer’s family.
