Musliudeen Olaide Akinremi, the Nigerian lawmaker who represented the Ibadan North federal constituency, was buried on Thursday, July 11, 2024, following his passing in Abuja at the age of 51.
Akinremi, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), died on Wednesday. His body was flown to Ibadan, where friends and associates gathered at the Ibadan Airport in Alakia to receive him. The procession then moved to his residence in Ologuneru for the burial.
The burial rites were conducted by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere. Family members, friends, political associates, and mourners gathered to pay their last respects, shedding tears as they bid farewell to the late lawmaker.
