Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has vehemently denied accusations that she unlawfully arrested a social media user and his mother over defamation claims. Addressing the issue during an Instagram live session on July 10, 2024, Abraham expressed frustration and clarified her stance on the matter.
“I want to make it clear that I have not arrested anyone’s mother. I have a mother myself, and I would never commit such an act,” Abraham stated emphatically. She also defended herself against what she described as bullying and harassment online.
“I have not committed any crimes. I exercised my democratic rights and filed a petition against those who defamed me,” she explained, referring to the legal actions she took in response to the allegations made against her.
The actress revealed her distress over the situation, expressing a desire to be left alone. “I came online to plead with everyone to stop harassing me. I am deeply hurt by these accusations. I have not taken any money from anyone,” she added emotionally.
Abraham further alleged that attempts were made to ruin her career and personal life through orchestrated campaigns. Despite the challenges she faces, she asserted her readiness to confront the situation head-on.
“I am not afraid because I know I have done nothing wrong. These people were paid to destroy me, but I will fight back. I will not go down without a fight,” Abraham declared passionately.
The actress concluded by expressing her confidence that the truth would eventually come to light, affirming her determination to defend herself against what she perceives as unjust attacks on her character and reputation.
