In a show of resolve, President Joe Biden vowed on Friday to remain in the 2024 presidential race despite a challenging debate performance against Donald Trump that left many Democrats uneasy. Addressing a rally in North Carolina, Biden assured his supporters of his commitment to his re-election campaign.
“I don’t walk as easy as I used to, I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to,” Biden acknowledged candidly. “But I know what I do know — I know how to tell the truth.”
In a speech aimed at dispelling doubts about his candidacy, Biden emphasized his capability and experience. “I know right from wrong. I know how to do this job. I know how to get things done,” he asserted to a cheering crowd. “I know, like millions of Americans know, when you get knocked down, you get back up.”
Biden’s comments come after a debate performance that has sparked concerns within his party about his campaign’s viability. However, his speech on Friday was a clear signal that he remains undeterred in his quest for a second term in office.
