Popular Nigerian gospel singer Bunmi Akinnanu, widely known for her hit song “Omije Ojumi,” has died at the age of 46. Her passing was confirmed on Tuesday by colleagues and sources close to her family, who announced she died on January 12, 2026, at a hospital in Lagos.
