The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four armed robbers involved in the attack and killing of retired Army Brigadier General Uwem Udukwere in Abuja, Nigeria.
FCT Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh announced the arrests on Monday while parading several suspects at the Command’s headquarters. He disclosed that two additional robbers, who remain at large, fled with a pistol belonging to the retired General.
“The remaining robbers are declared wanted, and we assure that they will be apprehended with the assistance of other security agencies,” Igweh stated.
The tragic incident occurred on Saturday at General Udukwere’s residence in Sunshine Estate, Abuja.
