Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido is set to make his historic Coachella debut at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, scheduled to take place in Indio, California. He will perform on both Saturdays, April 11 and 18, at the Empire Polo Club, making him the only Nigerian artist on the 2026 bill.
The festival, one of the world’s biggest musical gatherings, spans two weekends — April 10–12 and April 17–19. This year’s headliners include global names such as Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Italian DJ Anyma. Davido’s appearance places him alongside some of the biggest stars in contemporary music, highlighting his rise as a global artist.
Davido’s Coachella performances are anticipated to showcase his signature electrifying style, capturing the energy and vibrancy of Afrobeats on one of the most prestigious stages in the world. His inclusion reflects the growing global influence of Afrobeats, a genre that has steadily carved out a space on the world stage alongside artists like Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, Wizkid, Fireboy DML, and Teni, who have all previously graced the Coachella stage.
Alongside Davido, British Kenyan singer PinkPantheress and British Nigerian rapper Little Simz will also perform, continuing the strong presence of African and African diaspora artists at the festival. This inclusion underscores the rising prominence of African music and culture globally, reinforcing Coachella’s commitment to diverse and dynamic lineups.
For Davido, this is a landmark moment — not only his first Coachella appearance but also a testament to the global appeal of Afrobeats. Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting his performances, which are expected to be a highlight of the festival.
Coachella 2026 promises to further cement Afrobeats’ place on the international music stage, and Davido’s presence as the sole Nigerian act adds to the excitement surrounding the event. Passes for the festival went on sale from September 19, 2025, and music enthusiasts are preparing for what is expected to be an unforgettable celebration of music and culture.
