The Federal High Court in Abuja has given the Federal Government until September 24, 25, and 26 to conclude its decade-long trial of former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki. Dasuki is facing charges of alleged unlawful possession of firearms and money laundering.

The court directed the government to present any remaining witnesses and tender all outstanding exhibits to support its allegations.

Justice Peter Lifu granted the adjournment request, allowing the government to gather other recovered items for presentation in court.

The prosecution’s case includes items seized from Dasuki’s residences in Abuja, Kaduna, and Sokoto.

These items include laptops, mobile phones, cheque books, cash, a visa card, CDs, and banking documents.

Dasuki’s residences were searched following his arrest, and the court admitted the seized items as exhibits MSD 015 to 034.

At Dasuki’s Sabo Birni residence in Sokoto, $150,000 and ₦37.6 million were recovered and deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria. The prosecution plans to present the cash in court as evidence.
