Music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has exchanged vows with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru in an intimate traditional wedding ceremony, six months after his highly publicized split from actress Annie Macaulay.
Photos and videos from the private event, which surfaced on social media Thursday, showed the couple resplendent in cultural attire.
The 49-year-old music icon wore a white embroidered native shirt with coral bead accessories, while his bride dazzled in a red off-shoulder gown and the prestigious Edo ‘okuku’ beaded crown.
The wedding comes five months after 2Baba’s Valentine’s Eve proposal to Osawaru, who serves in the Edo State House of Assembly.
The pair kept ceremony details under wraps, though footage revealed a gathering of close family and friends celebrating the union in Benin City.
This marks the third marriage for the African Queen crooner, following his 13-year marriage to Macaulay that ended in February 2025 and a previous union with Pero Adeniyi.
Cultural commentators noted the significance of Osawaru’s traditional Edo bridal regalia, which included multiple layers of coral beads symbolizing royalty in Benin culture.
Neither the couple nor their representatives have issued an official statement, but sources confirm a white wedding is planned for later this year.
The development comes weeks after 2Baba publicly explained his decision to pursue happiness with Osawaru, describing her as his “peace.”
