Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Nigeria has inaugurated new Caretaker Chairmen for the state’s 23 local government areas (LGAs). The swearing-in ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House in Port Harcourt.
The appointments follow the State Assembly’s screening and confirmation of the nominees on Tuesday. This action was necessitated by the expiration of the tenure of the previous local government Chairmen on June 17, 2024.
