
Veteran Nollywood actor Dayo Adewunmi, widely recognized by his stage name Sule Suebebe, has died. He passed away early Wednesday morning in a hospital in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The news was announced by Pastor Ademola Amusan, known as Agbala Gabriel, who had been caring for the actor in recent months. Pastor Amusan shared the sad news on his Facebook page, writing, “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at the hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
Suebebe had been battling an undisclosed illness, which brought him under the care of Pastor Amusan. The cleric had previously used his Facebook page to raise financial support for the actor through his humanitarian outreach.
Suebebe was a prominent figure in the Yoruba-speaking sector of Nollywood, where he left a lasting impact with his performances. In a recent viral video, the actor reflected on his past, admitting to having lived a reckless life during his youth.
