
Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025 after competing against 36 other contestants from across the country. Representing Osun State, Raimi won the national title at the grand finale held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Originally from Boripe Local Government Area in Osun State but raised in Rivers State, Raimi’s journey in pageantry has been marked by resilience and notable achievements. She was crowned Miss Port Harcourt City International in 2021 and went on to become second runner-up at the Miss Intercontinental competition in Egypt in 2022, showcasing her poise and stage presence on international platforms.
During the Miss World Nigeria competition, Raimi captivated judges and audiences alike with her beauty, elegance, and heartfelt storytelling. She openly shared her challenging upbringing, having grown up without a mother and enduring emotional abuse from a caregiver who doubted her potential. Her story of overcoming adversity resonated deeply, highlighting her strength and determination.
Beyond pageantry, Raimi is a passionate humanitarian and the founder of The Love for Humanity Project, an initiative dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities through feeding programs, mental health support, and acts of kindness. Her advocacy focuses on spreading love, restoring faith, and addressing issues affecting women and girls, including ending period poverty.
As Miss World Nigeria 2025, Joy Raimi will represent Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant, scheduled to take place from May 7 to 31, 2025, in Hyderabad, India. She will join over 140 contestants from around the world, aiming to showcase Nigerian culture, promote humanitarian causes, and inspire through her courage and compassion.
Her victory is celebrated as a symbol of hope, resilience, and purpose, with many Nigerians optimistic that she will shine on the international stage as a true ambassador of Nigeria’s beauty and spirit.
