Social media influencer and blogger Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman, has been granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria.
Verydarkman, who was detained for nearly three weeks, secured his release on Monday after meeting the unspecified bail conditions.
Verydarkman faced charges of cyberstalking, including accusations of posting offensive and obscene content on his Instagram account. His release was confirmed by popular blogger Tunde Ednut, who noted that arrangements for his bail were completed, allowing him to reunite with his supporters.
A viral video circulating on X showed the moment Verydarkman was greeted by fans upon his release.
The influencer’s legal troubles began on May 22, 2024, when he was remanded in police custody on cybercrime charges.
