Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming Ondo State governorship election in Nigeria has announced Festus Akingbaso as his running mate.
The news was confirmed by Kennedy Peretei, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP’s Ondo State chapter, on Sunday evening.
Akingbaso, commonly known as “Fessy West,” is currently a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Idanre/Ifedore Constituency. Before his tenure in the National Assembly, Akingbaso served in the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Hailing from Idanre in the Ondo Central Senatorial District, Akingbaso replaces Samuel Ogunmusi, who was initially listed as a placeholder for the deputy governorship position.
