US President Donald Trump’s golf resort in Scotland was defaced with pro-Palestinian graffiti early Saturday, with an activist group claiming responsibility for the act.

Images circulated by local media showed red paint scrawled across the resort’s walls, bearing slogans such as “Free Gaza” and “Free Palestine,” along with insults directed at Trump. Additionally, the words “Gaza is not for sale” were painted on the golf course itself, where holes had also been dug up.

Palestine Action, a protest group, took credit for the vandalism, posting on social media platform X: “While Trump treats Gaza as his property, he should know his own property is within reach.”

The incident follows Trump’s controversial statement last month in which he suggested that the United States could take over Gaza, resettle its over two million residents, and develop the territory into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” His remarks were met with widespread condemnation from the Arab world.

Police Scotland confirmed they are investigating the incident. “Around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, we received a report of damage to the golf course and a premises on Maidens Road, Turnberry,” a spokesperson stated. “Enquiries are ongoing.”

Separately, in London, a man waving a Palestinian flag climbed the Big Ben tower at the Palace of Westminster on the same day, highlighting the growing wave of pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the UK.
