Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Nigeria, has appointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, the first son of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere, as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The announcement came just hours after Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the 7th democratically elected Governor of Ondo State.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor also reappointed key officials, including Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance.
Dr. Fasoranti, who previously served as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, hails from Akure South Local Government Area.
Additionally, Aiyedatiwa retained the following Special Advisers:
• Engr. Johnson Alabi – Power
• Dr. Seun Osamaye – Women Affairs
• Comrade Bola Taiwo – Union Matters & Special Duties
• Prof. Simidele Odimayo – HealthHe also elevated Engr. Abiola Olawoye from Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing to Special Adviser on the same portfolio.
The governor emphasized that all appointments take immediate effect and urged the new appointees to focus on delivering efficient governance to the people of Ondo State.
