President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has ordered all ministers to hold regular press briefings to update Nigerians on their ministries’ policies, activities, and key developments.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced this directive during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday. He stated that the initiative aims to promote transparency, accountability, and direct engagement between government officials and the public.
According to Idris, ministers will take turns addressing the media weekly to provide insights into their ministries’ progress and respond to public concerns.
