The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned the suspended Olorile of Orile Ifo, Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, for allegedly assaulting a 73-year-old chief, Abraham Areola.

Ogunjobi was charged on Tuesday with three counts of conspiracy, assault, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the development, stating, “The Kabiyesi Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who assaulted an elderly man in a viral video in Ifo, Ogun State, has been charged to court today, February 4, 2025, on a three-count charge of conspiracy, assault, and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.”

He further disclosed that Ogunjobi was granted bail, and the case has been adjourned to March 6, 2025.

Adejobi reiterated the police force’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice.
