Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Ayra Starr have been ranked among the world’s top artistes of 2024 by the global music monitoring platform, Chart Data. Wizkid secured the 11th position on the list, while Ayra Starr was ranked 18th, solidifying their status as leading figures in the global music scene.
South African artist Tyla also represented Africa on the list, placing 12th.
The top 10 featured an impressive lineup of international icons, including South Korean singer Jimin and American stars Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar. British artist Charli XCX, alongside Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Nicki Minaj, completed the prestigious list’s top tier.
In a separate accolade, Nigerian artists Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy were recognized by Active Wurld as part of their “Top 20 Music Global Icons Shaping the Future.” Davido ranked third, while Wizkid and Burna Boy claimed the 6th and 8th spots, respectively.
