Corporal Juliet Chukwu of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has clinched the prestigious Bantamweight Championship title at the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC 119) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Nigeria Police Force, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, hailed Chukwu’s victory as a testament to the growing global prowess of Nigerian athletes and the Force’s commitment to excellence in sports.

“This remarkable achievement highlights the growing prowess of Nigerian athletes on the global stage and reinforces the Force’s commitment to excellence in all areas of sports,” the statement read.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun commended the achievement, reaffirming his commitment to developing sports within the Force. He announced the formation of the Nigeria Police Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Association and plans to continue nurturing talents like Chukwu.

“The Force remains committed to nurturing talent and fostering an environment that encourages excellence for its officers in all endeavours, including sports,” the IGP stated.

Chukwu’s win is not only a personal milestone but also a source of pride for the NPF, which has consistently supported its officers in achieving greatness across various disciplines. The IGP assured continued support for Chukwu and other athletes representing the Force.
