Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has dismissed allegations linking him to fraudulent real estate activities and money laundering as baseless and misleading.

The claims surfaced following a report by an online media outlet on Tuesday, December 4, 2024, alleging that Pastor Idowu was detained by operatives of the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja for his purported involvement in real estate fraud.

Addressing the matter during his popular Next Level Prayer programme on Wednesday, Pastor Idowu categorically denied the accusations.

“Over the last 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to state some facts,” he began. “Firstly, I do not have any property in Nigeria. The only property I have in Nigeria is one everyone knows. Secondly, I do not sell or buy properties. I am not in that business.”

Transparency in Financial Dealings

The pastor further refuted allegations of financial misconduct and invited public scrutiny into his financial records. “Someone said I received billions into my account. My accounts are public; you can check if I have ever received billions in them,” he said.

Idowu expressed disbelief over the accusations, revealing that he learned about the allegations through the media.

“Some of these things, as you are reading them, I am also reading them,” he remarked, adding that this was not the appropriate platform to address the matter in detail.

The pastor reassured his followers that his focus remains on his ministry and dismissed the allegations as attempts to tarnish his reputation.
