The Nigerian Super Eagles have fallen eight places in the latest FIFA men’s rankings, now positioned 44th globally, according to the update released on Thursday by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

This significant drop comes after the three-time African champions recorded a draw and a loss in their November fixtures. The Super Eagles, previously ranked 36th, have also dropped from fourth to fifth position among African nations.

Morocco continues to lead the African rankings, followed by Senegal, Algeria, and Egypt in second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.

The ranking highlights the challenges faced by the West African team in recent outings, leaving fans and analysts questioning what adjustments are needed to reclaim their spot among the top footballing nations.
