Renowned gospel actor and movie producer Moses Korede Are, widely known as Baba Gbenro from the popular Mount Zion series Abattoir, has passed away.
The news was shared by fellow gospel actor and producer Oluwaseun Adejumobi on Instagram, who wrote, “Heaven’s Gain Again. A General Has Gone to Rest.”
Baba Gbenro was a beloved figure in Christian film circles, admired for his impactful performances and contributions to faith-based entertainment. In addition to his work in Abattoir, he founded and served as the International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry in Ogbomoso, Nigeria, and was the CEO of Calvary Movies Television.
Fans and colleagues have expressed deep sadness over his passing, remembering him for his dedication to spreading the gospel through film.
