On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Mavin Records founder Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, appointed Tega Oghenejobo as the new President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company.
In a statement shared on his X account, Don Jazzy expressed pride in Tega’s journey, describing his ability to identify Tega’s passion and resilience from the start as one of his best decisions. He praised Tega’s dedication to building the Mavin brand, fostering talent, and guiding the label’s growth in the African music industry.
Don Jazzy shared, “I’m proud to announce @TEGAMAVIN’s expanded role as President and COO of Mavin. I am often praised for being able to spot and raise superstars, but I can proudly say the most genius thing I have done in my life was being able to spot the passion and resilience in Tega.”
