A 54-year-old Nigerian woman, Alake Latoyosi, has delivered 11 babies in Cotonou, Benin Republic. The deliveries were made in two batches, with the first set of six arriving on August 7 and the second set of five on August 14.

Her husband, Yahaya Nafiu, 56, who is the Missioner of the Ilorin Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) in Port Novo, Ajasse, and Cotonou, is appealing for financial assistance to support the care of his wife and the newborns. The couple is struggling with the substantial costs of caring for the babies, who include eight boys and three girls; sadly, two of the girls died during delivery. The remaining nine babies are healthy.

Nafiu shared that after the first delivery, his wife reported strange movements in her stomach. A subsequent scan revealed a second set of babies, which were delivered by the same birth attendant. He also disclosed that the pregnancy lasted over three years, and due to uncertainty about the pregnancy’s position, doctors were unable to perform a Caesarean section.

Nafiu believes the complications were caused by an evil spiritual influence affecting the doctors. He further mentioned that he and his wife had children from previous relationships before the arrival of the decuplets.

The couple is urgently seeking support from the public to help them navigate this challenging time and provide proper care for the babies and their mother.
