Doris Ogah, a 26-year-old lawyer and model representing the South-South region, has been crowned Miss Nigeria 2024 at the 45th edition of the beauty contest. The event, themed “Beyond Beauty: Reigning Together as Queens”, took place on Thursday night at the Royal Box in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Out of 45 contestants, 20 semifinalists were selected before narrowing down to 10 finalists. Ogah emerged victorious after competing against other finalists, including Ann Eneanya, Abosede Sorinola, Oluwatofunmi Adekola, and Divine Nelson.

During the final round, contestants were asked how they would use the Miss Nigeria platform to address challenges faced by Nigerian youths. Ogah’s insightful response secured her the prestigious crown.

The esteemed panel included Mo Abudu, Mai Atafo, Kate Henshaw, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, and actress Ini Edo. Former Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, handed over the crown, encouraging Ogah to use her reign to uplift others.

The event was organized by Folio Communications, led by actress Rita Dominic since October 2023. Over the years, the pageant has celebrated beauty, intelligence, and social impact, making it one of Nigeria’s most anticipated cultural events.
